Confirm that my Alternator is bad.

I changed the alternator belts and the power steering belts because they would squeal every time it rained and my battery light would come on also. So after changing the belts car run fine, it rained few days ago and my battery light came on and it would go away every time I would rev my engine. I try to start the car after I got home and nothing. I thought my alternator belt was loos but that sob is tight as it can be. I jump started that car again today and battery light came on and after going around the block car wouldn't start again.
So is it my alternator ?

sounds like it. check all your wires.. could be a ground touching something its not supposed to

Autozone tests them for free. TakE yours off and have them test it, but it sure sounds like it's shot n

I took mine into Auto Zone and put it on the tester, and the tested almost stalled out.

after I changed the alternator my MPG's went from 31ish MPG to 37ish MPG
