I have a 2000 front end conversion on my 1997 civic. It had no front bumper beam. So I decided to place it on, and the front bumper does not fit because the damn fog lights are hitting the steal beam!! I dont know what to do....

I banged the sided just like it says on DIY websites.

Issue, fog light hits the beam, front bumper will not fit flush

Is the fog light the issue?? not sure if its too bulky

any advice will help thanks.

Take a cutoff wheel/grinder and cut it to make it fit.

I dont have a grinder, i used a dremmel, but i dont want to cut any further, this will compromise the performance of the beam and would create a weak point. any other ideas out there?

as you can see the beam is sloted, but not sloted enough. if i chop it off more, it will look weak....
