D15y8??

Nope! thats not a typo. Is a D15y8 a real (factory) motor or is it like a D15xx block with a y8 head? Ive looked like crazy but I cant find a definate answer. The reason I ask is because I have a D16y8 motor and matching 5 speed tranny. My tranny's 3rd and 2nd is crap so rather than rebuild I just want a new tranny. This guy says he has a tranny from a D15y8 motor. I thought it was a typo on his part so I asked again and he says D15y8. During my searches it doesnt seem like this motor exists! I've heard that all d series parts should bolt right up but I just wanna make sure this guy is legit before I buy it.

What I need answers to::

1. is this motor real?
2. Can I swap the tranny into my d16y8 w/ no modifications/ mini me swaps of any kind?

all d series parts bolt up on each other you shuld be good bro
just to put it out there y didnt you do d16 bottom and d15 head??

Ask for pictures for proof. D15y8 dosent exist. You need more info on the motor.

my friends bone stock 94 has a d15y8 he got car from a older man its in a ex hatch back all stock other then what i have done to it for him....
