d16z6 to a d16y8???

will a d16z6 drop straight in in place of a d16y8??? and will the y8 intake mani fit on the z6?? is there anything I would need to change to put the different engine in?? thanks guys.

I'm trynna do a d16z6 into my 98 hatch and trynna find out if it drops right in or needs mounts. I know you need the conerter for the harness from obd1 to obd2 keep me posted too good luck

Every will bolt up just fine only thing you should really consider would be depending on if your gonna use the p28 and stay obd1 or p2p for obd2. The p2p is ment for the y8 cam gear which is retarted 4.5 degrees Timing wise compared to the z6 gear. So you'll wanna run either ecu depending on the cam gear other wise it'll run like crap. Other then that as for bolting everything in it's all the same. So for you guys everything will drop right in just put the y8 cam gear with the p2p so it's runs correctly and the intake manifolds are swapable
