x2 do some "beefing up" before u put the blower on, or else u could do some major damage

no disrespect but It's not a blower it's a turbo.

Yeah the motor is getting beefed up! however, you can run a turbo on stock connecting rods!

I don't know why anyone would take that chance! I've been around cars for 11 years & never have I seen a connecting rod so small!

vitaras with a stock intake manifold and HF manifold?
dosent make sense to me.

vitaras are more used for high boost/high HP numbers. not low boost.

since the CR will be low, it will probably be a slug out of boost.

What don't make sense! turbo's trive in a small port environment, on the other side of the spectrum N/A trive with larger ports. Second I'm not running the hf manifold because I want to. The turbo I have is a mits twin scroll. aka instead of the rectangle for the exhaust intake, there are two triangle shaped ports. So, it's was either a custom exhaust manifold with a evo flange or modify the hf.

With turboedit I'll be running 10psi! I don't care what anyone say's no cast piston is safe pass 15psi Reliably.

CR willn't be low it will actually be .01:1 higher than a stock D16Z6!

all the calculations I have say 9.14:1 with Z6 head & block 75.50mm bore & 2-layer Y8 Head Gasket. complete stock d16z6 comes in at 9.13:1 on http://www.cspeedracing.com/howto/compcalc/compcalc.php. I may be getting someting wrong but that's what I come up with. The only thing that could be wrong is the compression height, it is 30mm on the vitara's right.

Don't get me wrong they are good pistons! but, to play it safe I would never put over 15psi on them!

I am, I found a place online that makes custom copper gaskets for around $90.00

really, sounds like a fun project. If I had the money i'd be doing something like that! this is my cheap turbo setup until I get out of school! Are you sleeveing the block with that hp goal?

you can get a cometec. i woudlent use a coper HG on a honda block, i havet heard good things about them.

nope stock sleeves.
stock D series sleeves can hold 400+hp when tuned and done right.
