engine help

95 civic lx.
cars turns on fine, but when the ac turns on the engine shakes and when the ac is turned off the shaking stops. While it shakes the engine will end up dying.
What would cause this?

Also what would cause the idle, while parked, to go up and down?

when te engine shakes while the ac is on. its normal. your car is old and the mounts might be going bad. the compressor makes the engine work harder. the car shouldnt shut off tho. that might be a vac leak. as for the idle up and down. when the fan kicks in, it drops the idle. when its done, it goes back up. but if its jumping up and down randomly, i would check the grounds.
