Factory door unlocker ( i guess)

Ok i bought this for my 97 civic ex because i read that my ex should of had one of these..... so after more searching i found it..... it a transmitter for unlocking and locking the doors. It also can with instructions but im having few issues.... ok when i hit lock or unlock it only work on passenger side door i hear it trying to do drivers aide door but it wont unlock oe lock, does this mean i mite wanna replace my locks maybe they are to old to work right. Last thing it has a panic button and an option button so is ir possible to make one of rhose open my trunk or what is all the features it can do

Are both doors closed when trying to arm the alarm? If not they both need to be closed or else the doors will not lock

Yes both are closed im thinking weak locks
