Hey, new member and to preface this I don't have great knowledge with working on cars. I'm looking to buy a 04 civic ex with 111,000 miles from a family member. I took it to an independent mechanic today and he said It is due for new spark plugs and timingbelt. Also there is slight vibrating when accelerating he says is the need for new front axel and front motor mount. In addition to get a tune up ASAP. I guess my question is with a limited budget and mediocre knowledge of engines is there anything I would be able to save money by doing myself or with a friend. Also any tips for someone buying a 7thgen Honda with around 110k miles would be greatly appreciated.
