I DRIVE A 1993 CIVIC EX COUPE WITH A D16Z6 ENGINE THAT HAS APPROXIMATELY 150000 MILES. THIS CAR DRIVES GREAT FOR BEING OVER 10 YEARS OLD AND HAVING THAT MANY MILES. I HAVE SLOWLY BEEN ADDING 'BOLT-ON' PARTS, SUCH AS COLD AIR, POWER STEERING PULLEY, ETC. MY MOST RECENT BOLT ON WAS A B&M ADJ FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, AN AIR/FUEL RATIO GUAGE INSIDE THE CAR, AND A FUEL PRESSURE GUAGE UNDER THE HOOD COMING OUT OF THE FUEL FILTER. FROM WHAT I HEAR A STOCK CIVIC RUNS ABOUT 30PSI IDLE, AND UPWARDS OF 40 PSI AT WIDE OPEN THROTTLE. MY PROBLEM NOW IS, I HAD NOT RECEIVED THE PRESSURE GUAGE PRIOR TO INSTALLING THE FUEL REGULATOR, SO I TUNED IT BY TRIAL AND ERROR. MY CAR IS RUNNING JUST SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN STOICH(ALMOST RICH) AT WOT, JUST LIKE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE, BUT MY FUEL PRESSURE GUAGE (NOW THAT ITS ON) IS READING 27-28PSI AT IDLE AND MAYBE 35 AT WOT. I WAS TOLD THE HONDA ECU RUNS THINGS RICH, SO MAYBE I HAVE ACTUALLY BACKED DOWN THE FUEL SOME, BUT HONESTLY I DONT KNOW. IS THIS SYMPTOMATIC OF HAVING A DYING FUEL PUMP OR CLOGGED LINES. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
