you can do research, but don't perform a reverse image search. there's a lot of joy in research and discovery, which is really the point of this game - we don't expect everyone to know what every car is. conversely, there is no satisfaction in asking a search engine "here's a photo, can tell me what's on it?" you can cheat if you want, but you'll be the only one losing.

The difference between the ccx and ccr can be found in the front bumper. Probably other places too... but the cutouts in the front bumper can be a sure sign.

about top gear? I THINK so... it sounds familiar anyway... but I can't be sure.

fastest power lap on top gear was the v8 ariel atom (1:15.x - i can't remember exactly how many deciseconds, but it was over a second faster than a lambo aventador). i can't specifically recall the wreck/wing incident you mentioned though....
