H3 bulb test

Ok, I managed to get a hold of the square OEM fog lights.

Now I wanted to test them out first before I install them but I can't get it to work.

I'm using a variable DC power supply and when I hook up the +/- to either bulb or the wiring harness connector, the voltage just drops to zero.

The front panel of the power supply goes +/- ground +/-

What am I doing wrong? Or is something wrong with the bulb/harness?

are you feeding it 12v dc?

PS - your sig is too big. It has to be 500w x 100h max, and less than 30k.

Although it was only a shadow, I fixed it :D

Now back to the topic at hand. What else could be the problem?

open hood, connect wires to battery, what happens lol

the square lenses i believe ground out through themselves then to a wire to the chassis. make sure u are grounded the bulbs properly!

is the power supply 12v?? or will it power a radar detector if so it should work, just check all connections ;) and all you should have to do is connect 1 wire (on the 99-00 kit thats how it is) which is +

Yah it is..it's variable up to 15v.

Anyways, I got it to work.
Hooked it up to a booster pack and it fired up.

Thanks for all your help. ;)
