Hi everyone, i purchaed a 1993 honda civic EX coupe about a month ago. Spec 's on car its a auto, 174000 i say because the guy i buy it from had put a D15B7 in it if im not mistaken this car came with the D16Z6 vtec, the car also has a few electrical problems but i got them fixed already. I bought the car for $1200 i know thats way to much for this car but being in alaska my options are very slim so i went for it lol. about a week later i bought a wrecked 1999 civic si for $2000 so my plans are to swap the B16A2, auto to 5speed, and the drum to rear disc brake conversion which i already done. now im about to work on installing the foot pedels then once my new intake manifold come in then i can start on the swap. the intake manifold that was on the B16A2 was damaged due to the car being in a front end collision and dont worry i know the motor works the guy started it before i bought it. thats about it for now but i will keep you guys updated. heres a few pics of the car when i first got it.

haha well if your ever looking for parts i know i always delt with Underground Performance in Anchorage. there right across the street from Merrill Field and they usually have alot of Honda stuff especially B16-B18. there worth a call if you ever need something.

DOING WORK!

So i've been reading up on this swap and have a few questions. First, installing the clutch. I haven't looked under the dash but is there a spot for the clutch to mount or will it need to be cut out? This car is an auto as described on the first page so this will be a first for me (auto to manual). I've been going through the searches both here and on google but 99 of 100 threads on this topic result in no solid answers, just people telling this person to search. I'll figure it out, but i'd like to get the tools I may need for that install before hand. I have everything needed to move the motor and such. Done that a dozen times already, just never converted to manual.

My next question. Being that everything for this swap came right off the 99 SI, I only have the harness from the ECU to the engine bay (including the ECU). My questions is, will the 94 coupe auto harness plug right into the 99 ECU or will I need to so some rewiring to make that work? Wiring or creating an adapter isn't a problem, just would like to know before hand.

Other than that, I think that's everything... I'm sure i'll come across a few other questions here and there but the previous owner pretty much took care of all the parts needed to complete the swap I believe (Motor mounts, clutch hardware, etc).
