home depot lip??? DIY?

We 4g owners all know that there is a massive shortage of lips for the USDM front end. On several forums i have heard mention of whats referred to as the "home depot lip" or "garden lip" which i believe is made from that trim you put around the edge of a garden. I searched and couldnt find anything of use. Can anyone tell me more about this? Maybe some pictures or an idea of how to make it? Or any links to some REAL ED front lips? Thanks for the help.

Yeah I have only seen one, it had rivits <sp?> holding it on. Looked like crap IMO. Suppose it possible to make anything look good. I would not mind seen more pics of this.

or you can probably get the oem one for 60 ish bu from the dealer... maybe.

well Ive seen some homedepot lips that came out well.. a guy I know used to have a 240SX with one, looked good actually..

tom has a lip from 89 integra LS modded to fit 4g.

i know a guy that got a home made lip for a 96 civic i have to say it look cool it look like a mugen lip but with out the holes on the sides you can tell i DIY wen you get close to it

i think the trick to is to heat the plastic and a lot of screws
