Hood Latch ??? help.

my hood latch on my 00 civic isnt closing for some reason i go to close my hood and all it does is just get stuck and doesnt close all the way. like its jammed . anyone have this problem?

yeah, i did...and you know what my problem was? i forgot to take my ratched out from the hood. make sure you don't leave any tools under your hood...lol.....

haha...im having the same problem also..it seems like the main latch is really stiff and i tried wd40 but that didnt hep either, like it seems the spring got stiff..any way to like, loose the spring?

are you sure something isn't bent

the thing is probably just jammed.......take your grill off and look at it when youre trying to close it

Pull oyur hood release again and then make sure the release GOES BACK IN. Like the handle sometimes gets stuck on the plastic that surrounds the pull handle, so jiggle and push it in.
