I got myself a civic

Hi all, I just picked up this 93 SI Hatch, I had a 99 Integra LS. So I switched clubs =) Seemed a little shady but for the swap and parts into it I went for it. It has a b18a1 swap, the guy didn't know much about the car, he was mainly using it as parts. I looked around at it and gathered what information I could since the guy spoke very little english.

Here's what I found:

B18a1 Engine swap with a b18b1 valve cover (who knows why, maybe a b18 or b20 head)
K&N Intake
Headers, Brand?
Magnaflow Cat-Back
Short Shifter, Brand?
REAL HXS Wheels
Tanabe Struts
Coils/springs, brand?
Lower control arms, brand?
Camber/toe kits, brand?
Duckbill
Front lip
Delsol Seats
Integra Rear Seat, Total POS, it will be the first interior thing to go
Only two of the windows are tinted, don't ask me why.
Cheap ass red paint job

The engine needs a rebuild, lucky for me I know b-series pretty well. Its smelly and blows a bit of blue smoke at 7k rpms switching out of first. I should have it done within a few days.

I somehow managed to get away with the engine swap on safety =) Utah is ridiculous, no engine swaps, wtf?!

Here's the pics:

Thanks for looking!

Thanks everybody! So I got the car in the shop. Went through the top end, lucky for me its not the rings! The valve seals are is what it causing the small amount of smoke. I found the headers are really scraped up and rewelded. I'm switching those out for some No Names today. The exhaust needs work, totally frankensteined. Got the valve cover and oil pan gaskets sealed up perfect. The next is the seal on the intermediate shaft. The compression was amazingly perfect, 160 on all cylinders. I'm pretty happy with the car, my parents want to paint it for my graduation present. I want to take it back to black so the jambs and bay match. I'll keep you all updated! =)

Just got the headers, I'll pick up a gasket and put those on tomorrow. My boss agreed to do my intermediate axle if I install his sound system, I totally got the good end of that trade.

Next on the list:
Get the alarm working
Fix "Frankenstein" exhaust

Looks good man, I like the red on black.

@2slo4u, no difference between b18a1 and 94-95 b18b so I'm assuming it has the 96+ b18b valve cover

I think it's a nice pick-up. Just get the tint removed, get a real CF hood and trunk, wheels and slam it :thumbs up

What are your plans?

The a1 has the bumps all over it, and the b1 looks like a b20; it's flat with lines through it.

Weird. I always thought the B1s were flat.

The plans for now consist of avoid cops and make it more reliable. The b18a1 swap is illegal in my state so I'm considering picking up a single cam and building it up by next years safety and emissions. For my highschool graduation my parents want to get some decent paint on it. I'll add some pictures of the body all cleaned up, but the engine I'm leaving as a surprise for a little while ;)
