Use a floor jack-with a piece of wood to not scratch the paint- to hold up the end of the door farthest from the hinges. I have removed many doors by myself like that. Works good.
Never thought about that, still wouldn't do it that way though. Doors are heavy and not fun to get aligned to close right, takes me about 10-20 minutes to pull the bumper fender and skirt
Understand. If you don't mess with the hinges themselves. It won't be out of alignment. You just need to remove the rod/bolt holding the hidges to each other. Very easy. You should try it sometime.
