Do you recommend installeing a header without a torque wrench and just tightenning the bolts as much as possible or is it very important to tighten them to spec?

i say tq specs, if you end up stripping a stud out of your head, you will wish you used the tq wrench

So basically I should just go out and buy a torque wrench I guess. I asked a shop for an install quote and homeboy was like around $125 for header and $225 to also install my Apex'i WS2, f**k that I rather go buy a $40 Tourque wrench and put in about two hours of work.

Thanks fellas for the replies.

i would just use a ratchet with a short handle or a 1/4" drive ratchet that way you can tighten it up but theres really no way of breaking a stud or over tightening cause you wouldnt have enough leverage on a 1/4" ratchet to do any harm...

:werd: theres really no need to worry about this. over tightening the bolts on your header isnt going to be bad for your engine. just bad for your arms when you try to get the bots off and they wont budge.
