I have a 2003 honda civic EX .the ignition key stopped working MECHANICALLY .from worn tumbler. Disconnected battery ,dropped steering column,drilled out 2 snub heads (breakaway head bolts) that held (part #US539 ) complete ignition re installed new part .Now the car goes to acc. the engine turns over but does not start.I am obviously not programmed correctly (Be Nice!) How does one go about programming new keys/ignition to this civic ?

I'm afraid it's true.. it's a way of deterring thieves... and snatching a couple extra bucks from us.

sucks to cuz your going to have to tow it there which is very expensive these days.

That happened to me once when I tried to mess with my alarm system.
