Is there such thing as a 1997 Honda Civic Si?

Im brand new to the site, not sure if I'm posting this in the right spot, so if not please forgive me,
Anyways, I have a 1997 Honda Civic Si. However its like it doesnt exist. Is there any way I can tell its an Si? Or could someone tell me if they dont exist...

CA - yes, US - no. You should have the d16y8 if it's an Si.

They don't have the Ex trim in Canada.
In Canada, the d16y8 equipped Civic is a Si, the b16 equipped Canadian market Civic is the SiR.

Look at the engine theres a plate stamped on it should say d16y8 if it is one.

or you could decode the VIN, but the engine stamp would be the easiest

Engine code is stamped on the block very easy to locate; its on the bottom left corner if your looking from the front.

Yeah I just looked, nothing like that. It doesnt even say VTEC or anytihng. Just Honda...

a d16y8 doesnt say vtec .it just says honda
