Jr's New Project (STI Inside)

Some of you know me, some of you don't. Some of you know I had an IS300, some of you don't. Anyway, long store short... I totaled the Lexus and picked up a Subaru. All comments welcome....


Borla hush exhaust

Whiteline coilovers
Whiteline rear sway bar
3 pt. rear strut bar (unknown brand... whiteline I guess)

Rally armor mud flaps (well 3 of them anyway)

Rota wheels :/

My Plans (short term)-

Upgrade clutch to ACT HDSS (already ordered)
Upgrade brake pads
ATI gauge pod w/ boost, oil temp and ??
HKS or Greddy turbo timer
Upgrade tires (currently on Sumitumos) but undecided on what I want... something for all weather.
Upgrade sound, deck w/ ipod connection, new speakers all around w/ a small sub.

My intentions for now are to mod to make me more comfortable and extend the life of the car. The power it puts out is good for me... for now.

* Got an alignment done, corrected the toe. Previous owner lowered and changed tires at separate times without alignment :/
* Discovered a blown strut up front on the drivers side. Can't find replacements on Whiteline website.

Nice pick up! There are SO many people that have hopped on the Evo bandwagon locally. It's almost like how many Civic's there are... It's making me want a WRX more now.

But I heard from my friend that STi's have a much higher insurance rate... Not sure if it's 100% true or not. He had a WRX. To me, I think it'd be smarter to buy a WRX and just upgrade the turbo, intercooler, injectors, exhaust, and top it off with a tune. And of course spend the couple thousand for an STi transmission when you blow the WRX one .

Thanks John, the insurance isn't bad. I was in the market for an Evo and an STI but couldn't find an Evo that wasn't beat.

Yeah it's hard finding those car's not beat... Everyone beats on em lol. I'd say remove the spoiler, the STi badge on the front grill, and debadge the trunk!
