Anything I need to know before i attempt at changing the oil pan gasket?
it's a fairly simple job, i just did mine the other day. i had to unbolt and lower the downpipe from the exhaust manifold for clearance, and remove a separation plate from the tranny(only 4 bolts). so here it is simply:
1. jack up the 2 front wheels
2. drain oil (obviously)
3. unbolt downpipe from exhaust mani and lower a few inches (you also need to temporarily remove the piece of metal that mounts the exhaust to the engine, it's got 2 bolts on each end, and is to the rear of the oil pan)
4. unbolt the 18 bolts/nuts around pan (and maybe the 4 on the separation plate)
5. drop the pan
6. remove old gasket and scrape off residue with a razor blade
6b. (optional) clean out oil pan with engine degreaser and dry it with lint free cloth
7. put a dab of gasket sealer on both sides of each kinked corner of the gasket
8. place new gasket on the pan and line the holes up
9. do steps 5-1 backward to reassemble
10. fill with oil

so there it is as "simply" as possible. it took me a bit longer than it should cuz mine was REALLY bad, but in general, it should take anywhere from 45 min to 1 hr 30 min.

hope this helped! Good Luck!! :thumbs up
