and today 05 18 2009, i decided i wasnt going to work on anything just sit around the house, when my friend who has been missing for 3 weeks and finally lets me know that i can come pull the engine from his mustang for my own car...so much for a day of rest

yep mach 1 1971 mustang, funny thing is my dad bought this car 3 years ago, rebuilt th tranny and sold it to this guy. and its been sitting ever since waiting for a big block

some interesting valve covers i will say...i kind o like em

in the pit ready for the engine to be taken out. woot, only took an hour and a half, and the only reason i took that long was because we couldnt find a certain tool for about 40 minutes, damn his messy shop...

ibt of an update

the new engine needs

freeze plugs
spark plugs
wires, cap and rotor

headers if i have enought, but what the hell a new set of headers for this car is only 100$

im not sure what im going to do as of right now for performance but so far when this new engine goes on it goes with

my crappy edelbrock 500 cfm carb
orange steel fuel line
j code mustang 4 barrel intake manifold
my orange valve covers
painted black engine block
stock headers for now
new hoses
new coolant, oil and such
extended valve cover studs, oe are just bolts
and some fun stuff here and there

ive got one of those too, haha

my civic is more of a autox car that ive been tracking for the last 2 years, i have a 64.5 ford mustang with a 347 stroker at the shop thats been a project for close to 8 years, but its almost complete and i wanted something that was a bit different and a bit bigger. the fairlane is a midsize car for the 70's, making that a huge car for today, haha. im starting to really grow on the size of it. that and im encased in 4000 pounds of american steel, new cars bounce right off of this thing, haha
