Need Help with engine mounts

My car has some horrible kicks on shifts and I'm pretty sure I have to replace the engine mounts. While looking into it, I saw that you can buy the inserts by themselves without changing the mount completely. How do I know if all I have are bad inserts or if the mount is all add?

you can try adding the inserts to see if it helps..it just connects to the existing mount

the inserts make motor mounts even more steady with them and if wat u mean is that if u put the insterts it will fix ur problem theres not 100% sure it will but theres a chance better just off buying the mounts if this sloves ur question

I just encountered a problem changing the mounts. the left front motor mount has a bolt with a nut, and on the other side it bolts into the motor block. After trying to remove the nut with the impact wrench, the whole bolt cam out and now it's impossible to take the nut out. Any help with this?
