Oil dipstick handle charred. I'm new here...

Ok, I have a 5the gen 1995 Honda Civic named Mickey. Mickey is a great car, has 210,613 miles on him and I run full synthetic in him. Would like to know, however, why the oil dipstick handle is charred. The temperature gauge never rises beyond the norm and it does not have coolant issues. Anybody have a clue what's going on?

Gauge has nothing to do with oil temp. Its telling you the temperature of the coolant.

Dipstick is charred because of poor maintenance and failure to keep it clean. The oil was allowed to get too dirty and was then heat dried onto the stick because of the extreme temp of the engine.
