on 96-00 civic its located below the intake mani you have to reach it from under the car just above the oil filter
its the little black box in the center of the back of the engine.

close up

i was changing out my intake mani when i realized it was there.
the Y7 PCV valve is L shaped and the Y8 is straight

good to know, the PCV vavle on most b-series engines is on the top of the intake manifold usually between the 2nd and 3rd runner, i have never pulled one on a d-series, thanks for the info

yeah it depens on the year of your civic, the location i found only applys to the D16Y7/Y8 engine in the 96-00. you right on a 95 and earlier its in the location you said.

i dont know why hond changed it, it was fine where it was.

since we're throwing out information... it came out off the top of my valve cover on my 91 accord.... you can usually clean them with brake cleaner, all that happens is they get gunked up

yes they are easy to clean, but i rather change mine, but honda recommends that they get changed every 60,000 miles.
