As for unbanning the permabanned ones just for s***s and giggles, what does a permaban mean if they unban them all? It's not like they're banned from the internet.

This. ClubCivic I will occasionaly come to if I'm that bored. And I'm already really bored on H-T, but it's usually not even bad enough to make me come back here. I signed on today because someone told me there was a thread asking about me. I found two. Weird.

Been posting less and less on H-T lately. Logged on to see if there was anything interesting.

Two of the first threads I saw were one asking how to replace the plastic emblem on the trunk of a Civic and another asking how to fix foglights on a Civic (one of his questions was how to remove the H3 light bulb).

f***. You assholes wonder why fans of other car makes hate Honda enthusiasts. H-T makes me feel like one of the smartest people in the world sometimes.

I feel like if there were more focus on teaching people to learn for themselves and not just make stupid threads whenever, then there would be more quality discussion going on.

Hell, I've seen people make threads about something and even admit, "I was too lazy to search. Making a thread was easier. lol"

To me an OG is someone that's an '04 or earlier, generally speaking. If you didn't join before I moved to the west coast (Sept '05), I won't think of you as an OG.

I remember thinking of Eran as a noob for a long time. lol

For H-T it's something different, seeing as the site's been up since '99 iirc.

So it looks like the site probably started on or soon before August 1, 2002.

There used to be a thread that went over some of the (at the time) still active members and I compiled a post showing their real join dates in order, but I think the thread got deleted at some point.

I was known to be one of the nicer people on the site. Then I started dating Eran and some people got really stupid about it. Plus I got lumped in with Eran on some other sites. If he was a d**k, people saw it as both of us being a d**k.

I got stalked and harassed by a few people on here because I broke up with a guy who used to be on here and he lied and said I cheated on him. I only even dated him for a f***ing month!

The site was smaller then. It was more personal and there was more pressure to not be a d**k. Everyone knew who you were.

The bigger the site got, the less personal and worst it got imo.

When I was a mod it never listed old user names. You're a mod on H-T now, right? Both are vB and pretty standard settings I think.

All I ever remember from when Amelia and Jason were mods was the drama that went down on the site. As I look back, it was all childish bull crap with all of us. They didn't have a fair chance at being decent mods.

Ahhh the memories of post whoring. We had so many sig wars, avatar wars, Jezek (Mike) and OC (Anthony) being gay lords, we lost the OFF TOPIC section and came back to one big blank space to start anew, VIP got a makeover but it was never the same, cucumber girl in VIP, noodz in VIP, leg humping of new girl members, when Biz was actually one of us during the NOFX/ERAN mod days, Rand0m was CC's official Chewbaca , the Massive east coast CC meet, and so many other up's and down's we've been through. Most of us got married, had kids, moved on to other cars and sites. But we are a community of old loyal friends. What happened to us?

Beyond a computer screen, I truly miss everyone. Like one big disfunctional family.

Amy - oc (Anthony) just got busy and decided it was time to step down. Justin is still around and very active in the moderator lounge.

Ron - Amy (NOFX) was a mod here for a while. As a matter of fact, I remember her scolding me for posting in a porn thread when I was underage

Haha I had another H-T mod say I should be a mod as well or that it was being "talked about". I can't remember for sure who and I honestly shouldn't post publicly about it anyway.

Being OG isn't everything. There's definitely some pretty worthless OGs out there. If you don't ever help anyone or post any sort of decent Honda-related content, then what good are you? (Unless you're in GDD, for example. Those guys mostly served their time long ago and have moved on to other pastures.)

Eran still posts on here in his del Sol thread I think.

Thanks... It was ridiculous how I was treated simply for being a mod. I ended up stepping down because I got tired of the stupid drama. I guess it was some sort of jealousy? I really don't even know. I can't think of why else because it was such a stark contrast as soon as I went blue. All I know as it was really retarded.

I did my best to be fair and just protect the site (like when I told joe7987 not to post in porn threads; it was nothing personal, just trying to protect the site because supplying porn to underage persons is illegal in the US).

Didn't matter though. Some people who had once been nice to me turned around real quick once I was a mod.

All mods, especially new ones, will make some mistakes. I don't think I did anything expressly wrong though.

Oh, and the only way I could think of to find out what an old user name is would be to find a thread you posted in from that time period and look for a quoted post. That post will show your name at the time, not your current name.
