rusty bolts on exhaust

does anyone know of any good ways to get them off
i tried some penetrating oils n a chisel but still wont budge

youll prob have to break/grind them off and get new ones.

cuz i cant break the spring assembly in front of the cat i need to reuse that

liquid wrench....


let me pull off the exhaust bolts on the 97 civic with 150K... the bolts looked to be the orginal ones (exhasue was cut and re-welded.

Yeah, try some power tools before you resort to cutting.

pb blaster... way better then liquid wrench
spary it down and let it soak for a few hours. you should be set

x2 on pb blaster. I had an old escort that had lugs that had to be torched off. After torching a few and getting tired of all the work I got some pb blaster and sprayed it and let it sit a few times and they came off.

ey nigga just 2 words and 2 numbers, WD40 :D

ha ha or just grab a socket and slam it on with a hammer, then grab your wrench and put in on the socket and youre good! thats how i took mine off

Nah WD40 sucks compared to PB Blaster. But I just took my car to a muffler shop and had them make the bolts molten. They fell right out, it was badass.

just double wrench it and break them.
thats what i did.
whatever part gets stuck, if any, you can get out with a hammer or dremal with a cutoff wheel.

thanks for the help but i ended up having to take it to a shop cuz i dont have any torches or s**t to try n get it off
the guy had to heat it up n then drill them out they were f**king stuck in there
only cost me 190 for work n a new spring assembly n some bolts

Yeah holy s**t... I had the bolts taken care of and a new exhaust hung for $60.

not for the bolts for the whole install of headers n exhaust with a new spring assembly

dude you couldve saved so much money just by buying a $4 can of pb blaster and doing the install yourself. not hard at all

use that bolt extractor thing from sears to get stuck bolts out, i just did that on friday and it worked, or heat them bitches up. thell come out than
