im havin problems with installing my chip. i installed it solder chip ing and everything but i was confused at the J1 jummper. was not sure how to do that. i look online and it said that i could use a small wire the connect the two point. but now my car will not go past 4000 rpm. can anyone plz help???

where did you purchase this "skunk2 chip" from?
j1 is right above the chip on the right hand side [if you orient the ecu so that the chip is at the bottom]. the jumper isnt a piece of wire; it is something that resembles a staple.

yeah its just a piece of metal that tells the ecu to read from teh eprom rather than the stock map.

i have mugen, spoon, and skunk2 knock off bins, all of them are knockoffs. Thoes companies wont touch a honda ECU, when they race its all on a standalone system. ditch the chip, all it is, is a rich as hell map, and a move of the vtec
