Since I got a spare Y8 head with a burnt valve and a complete Y8 block minus the pistons and rods. I decided to start to gather parts for rebuild now and will do it after summer.
since one of the valves are burnt, I think I should replace all the guides, stem seals, and valves so I won't have problems down the road.
picked up some supposedly OE valve guides and valves. intake valves are 4Cr9Si2, while exhaust are 21-4N. But now have second thoughts and getting intakes valves made out of 21-4N and exhaust valves made out of inconel 751.

picked up two complete gasket kits but it looks like for Y7 and not Y8

got these shipped and already looks like it is for a Y7 and not Y8

okay i had a few members asking me about the weight for the rods,
here you can see just one rod weighs approx 490 grams and the 2 rod bolts weigh 52 grams, so the total weight for the rod and bolts is 541 grams.
