Subwoofer problems

i hook up everything right the power light goes on but once I plug in the right and left input the light goes fuzzy every time the subwoofer kicks in. I've had this amp in forever this is the first time this has happened to me.

It's a dhd amp 250w+250w
The sub is a sony that's 1500w

I think this is the first time Ive seen someone start a thread with their own answer before asking a question.

First of all, please state what amp and subwoofer are being used. It could be any number of issues that may be easier to identify knowing the equipment involved.
