So I am wondering would I be able to pull a few extra MPG out a crx d16 with a few adjustments using a program like crome?
Would a custom camshaft help me get extra MPG
And is it possible to program the ecu to shut off cylinders at cruising speed?
I want to build a car that maximises fuel economy

I know crome can do a lot of stuff like emulate o2 sensors for you don't have to use one. But i don't think it can do what you want. I don't know if anyone ever swapped a e-vtec engine into a crx which does what you describe to save on fuel, but still only gets around 40mpg in the cars they come from, like the 97 civic ex.

I remember seeing a guy around a place I used to live with a sticker on the back of his CRX saying "72mpg and counting". I always thought that was a waste of a perfectly good go fast car

Can't you make it run like food oil or something? I dunno... I always look for the exact opposite. Eat as much fuel as possible

I'll be buying these for my HF when I rebuild (more like restore) it next year.

German made injectors specifically for the HF with the sole purpose of better fuel economy.
