Tranny Swap???

WIll a Y8 tranny bolt up to a Z6 engine? They are both hydros, gearing is almost identical, both d-series, what do you think????

yes. i think you might need to use the z6 mount, not sure.

yep dseries parts are interchangeable, especially if its hydro-hydro, and cable-cable.

yes. i think you might need to use the z6 mount, not sure.

You do need to use the z6 mount. I had a y8 that I put into my civic and the rear mount is too short by about a 1/4" and the trans mount is no where close to being the same. I had to scavenge the one off of my d15 that I had. So use the z6 one. The "everthing" from a 5th gen to a 6th gen engine bay is different so the mounts have to go to different places.

when i put my y8 trans into my 92 it bolted right up . the top mount and front mount are the same. the rear mount fit with a little bit of work
