transmission question?

i jus bought a cable ls tranny for my build and i want to remove the old internals from and install the new internals i have from a y1 tranny and i want to kno if anyone has done it before ive read a little bit on this but nothing to really confirm that it would fit so if anyone knows jus let me kno thanks
