trunk hatch wont open

well my trunk hatch wont open up when i pull the lever for it to open..... the trunk open light comes on for like 30 seconds than goes off... still cant open it up even when the light comes on. But if i put the key in the trunk then it opens up no problem. Anyone know whats goin on? thanks

Probably something to do with the hatch cable. It's like the hood cable but for the trunk. I don't know how to get the that cable though.

open up ur trunk with ur key then check the cable, make shure its all work'n good.
