Under window molding/trim help.

First of all sorry if this is supposed to be in the general tech section.
Hey guys, after I drop my car and get lips for it I'm going to have it painted. And these black stripes under the windows are starting to flake and chip. So my question is- Is this just the paint or do I need to buy new trim peices?
Sorry for picture quality, the flash on my phone isnt too good, If need be i'll get better pics tomorrow.

you can remove and paint them but i would just replace them

deffinitly replace....If your going through the trouble of taking them off, just put new ones on that you wont have to worry about for a long time...

Thanks guys. If I'm gunna do it may as well do it right. Are they difficult to take off and put back on without breaking anything? Thanks for the link.

i honestly couldn't tell you it doesn't look like its to difficult.but i will recommend also buying that clip that holds it on my experience with car clips tend to either break when removed or become very loose.
