So i was looking through a Car and Driver and read all about the ridiculous aerodynamics in the Ferrari 599XX track car, like underbody vents that go through the trunk and out where the rear tail lights used to be and generates over 1400lbs. of downforce at top speed

(or lapping the ring in under 7 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJj8atDGBzk )
I was bored and got the idea that i should change the underside of my car to have better airflow underneath. Has anyone tried this with body pans, ducting, diffusers (not the ones with holes in your rear bumper), or the like? Figured it would be worth a shot and not too expensive if i make it myself. Any educated suggestions or examples welcome, thanks
