From what I understand the EF is the 4th generation, EG is 5th generation, and EK 6th generation. I have heard EG6 a lot. What is an EG6? I have a 95 hatchback vx is that an EG6? VIN starts off with 2HGEH237...

Correct me if im wrong but eg6 is a chassis code for a civic hatch(not sure on trim level) Yours is eh2 ( 4th-6th digits in the vin )

Good info, thanks! What is a SiR? I have only heard of Si.

In short, the SiR's were basically an Si with a B16 (dual cam, among other differences) and the USDM Si was powered by a D16 (single cam, among other differences)

Just to clarify as well, the 06-00 USDM are either EJ or EM, not EK. The EK code is for Japan and Europe only.

I should have been clearer, Asian and Europe.They have EKs in Malaysia....
