Which motor is better and why?

B16A GEN 2

OR

B18 GSR

Need help decidng on what to get. Its going in a 95 CIVIC COPE (EJ1)

its all personal preferance dude. how you wanna build it and wht you plan on doin and how much you wanna spend. search around and youll find your answer

Both provide you many options and build types. The question is what are you looking for, a mild upgrade or building some beast? How much are you looking to spend? N/A or Forced?

stock for stock the GSR. Boost for boost the GSR and NA for NA....GSR. You might be able to rev the B16 higher....

b16= little torque. but cheaper

the torque arguement is pretty much irrelevant, 1.8 liters isnt exactly a torque machine...we can start talking about torque when were talking about a motor that actually makes more tq than hp

i would have to say the gsr...just becasue driving both motors in stck form...98 GSR, 00 SI, the em1 just didnt seem to pull much harder than a y8...

B18c is obviously faster stock for stock but the B16 head has better has better flow.
