    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

Hello to all. I apologize that I have been "absent" for so long. I certainly appreciate all of the positive feedback to my ride. This site was very good to me with my EK build, even voted it ride of the month back in April a couple of years back. Additionally, you guys pointed me in the...

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

Thanks so much guys! Just changed out the plugs, cleaned and re-oiled the K&N filters, and gave the carbs a tune-up. Car runs even better now. Very stoked. (A while back, before I rebuilt the Mikuni's, I had some flooding problems with the carbs. I didn't realize the flooding gas had...

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

We'll, Grandma let us borrow her digital camera today, so I finally had something decent to take some pictures of the wagon with. I'm no pro, but here are some snaps I took of the wagon in it's current state.

Ah, man, that stinks!! Keep at it. Great builds take patience and perseverance. Unrewarding builds take a check book or Visa card.

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

Thanks, as always brother. This summer's wish list... Exterior: Fab fog brackets, bolt up fogs with Nokya H3 Hyper Yellow bulbs; 4300K-ish HID set (w/ a halogen high, so I can pass NC inspection!), cleaning up little trim items here and there; REAR fogs coming from German! Very excited. Hope to...

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

Hey, thanks man! Yeah, I believe any Civic/CRX stuff will fit my front suspension, as it is the same as in other 3G. BUTTTT.....the rear is totally different, due to the 4WD set-up. I suppose that I could swap out totally to a 2WD suspension set-up, but I believe that (1) It would be a...

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

We'll, I'd love to drop the car about an 1.5 more. However, there is no aftermarket suspension support for the 4WD wagons. If I had a 2WD wagon, I could just drop in CRX equipment. So, I had to go the heated springs route in the rear. For the front, i had a shop re-index the torsion bars down...

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

Quick Update: I went ahead and put the stock Civic prop valve back on, and bled the crap out of the brakes. They feel GREAT, even better/solid pedal feel than before. Very glad I finally got my lazy tail to get this swapped back on. Thanks to all for the heads up. Also, my Autozone...

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

Time for more updates: It's been a long week on the brakes. BIG props go out to RPR member Carl for coming out to help me bleed the brakes this past weekend. Super cool guy! The OTHER pull-a-part caliper stuck on me as well. So, I ended up replacing both calipers with refurb'd Autozone...

    Old School civic Build

Ha ha! Thats an Ol' Skool car-build story if I've ever heard one! Hey, I'm glad to hear that you got the car, and are going to carry forth this awesome build. Keep it carb'd. It will not be mega-fast, but it will suit the era it came from. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than a K! Best of luck.

Great man! So glad to hear that you are going to (hopefully!) have your motor situation remedied very soon. Hopefully the motor will go in with no mechanical or electrical kinks. PM'd.

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

Time for Updates: The new fuel pump I installed. I love it. Bomb diggidy. Autozone for $43; In-line; 5.5-9psi; MEGA quite; Consistent Pressure; includes a coarse-type metal-housed fuel filter unit. Pics and Part #: I'm trying to tackle my brake-system upgrade this week as...

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

Not a problem! I understand the confusion. Originally, I had this build posted in the "4G" section, as there was not 3G section:cry:

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

Again, this is a 4G Civic wagon only piece. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any such items being produced by Honda for the 3G.

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

LOL! Yeah, Billboard was crazy to try that. But, hey, I give him props for atleast giving it a go! This wagon is for cruising, no off-roading for me. However, I do believe the 4WD is making the car faster around corners than my old EK hatch, for real!

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

This is actually a 3rd gen civic, not a 4th gen. So, the EF lights would come no where close to fitting. As far as my headlights, what might be throwing you off is that I have just replaced my stock USDM lights with JDM headlights from an RPR member in New Zealand. They are black housing...

Updates- New fuel system install is complete, and running great! Still needs a little more fine tuning. Pics: BEFORE (stock mechanical fuel pump set-up) AFTER (Carter Electric Pump, Holly FPR, various -6 goodies). Thanks to RPR member Airgazm for all his help and advice on this...

    1987 RT-AWD WAGOVAN build!!

Thanks man! It was great hanging out with you guys. Leanna and I both really enjoyed it. There were some nice rides there. It was a bummer to not be able to see your wagon and the new seats. Did you ever get the oil leak issue straightened out?
