    Locations Of Speakers

That's why I'm asking for the locations. I found a pair of wires underneath my rear seat, but the seat won't come out, and I'm not looking forward to stripping my interior completely just find some damn wires, when I can rewire it.

    Back Fires?!

Alright. I have a 1986 Honda Civic DX Hatch. I replaced the head (old one had bent valves), and it backfired whe ever it tried to run. After a while, the backfires seemed to disappear. Now, almost 2 Months later, they're are back again. Is this my emission components "sticking?"

    Locations Of Speakers

I am looking for my rear speaker(s) and/or wires. I have an 86 Civic DX Hatch, and can't find them. My friend says they're probably under the rear seat, but I doubt it. I don't even think my car has a or some rear speakers. I want to hook up new ones (if I have any at the moment) with new ones...

    Clanking noise, please help!

Alright, got the clanking noise all figured out! Turns out I forgot to put the intake manifold bracket on (bottom side of manifold), so it was just dangling there hitting the engine/firewall/other parts. I'm so glad to hear that it's nothing big. When my knee gets better then I will jack the car...

    Clanking noise, please help!

My neighbor said it wasn't a solid enough noise to be a rod knock, and my local garage said the same thing. And besides, is it even possible for these kind of things to form over a matter of 2 weeks without running the engine? Cuz aside from yesterday, it hasn't been started since Feb. 12th...

    Clanking noise, please help!

Alright, we reassembled the car about 3 weeks ago, and it started, idled badly and would stall after 10 seconds of idling. I recently had an injury so I had to put my Civic work to the side. Now that I healed well enough to work on it again, we drained the gas (sat for a 1 and 1/2 years) and...

Never ever push your car alone!

That's nasty did it tear like that or is that just how they cut it? Did the same thing that happened to me happen to you but worse?

Never ever push your car alone!

Yeah let's go ahead and push my car forward into a ton of f***ing boulders cuz I would want to do that instead of pushing it slightly up hill, so I could've tried steering it away from them afterwards if I didn't end up hurting my self. As for the rest of you saying "pics or it didn't happen"...

Never ever push your car alone!

Don's ever attempt to push your car alone! I know you're probably thinking "I would never do that," but we all think stupid thoughts and do stupid s*!$ right?! Anyways, I thought I could push my little 86 Civic (3rd Gen) that supposedly only weighs about 1808lbs, since i once pushed a little...

    It runs!!!!

Hey people, what is up? I have the news of my '86 Civic DX starting and running, you can check it out if you want to: youtube(dot)com/watch?v=xkEjkdeoFV8 I had some recent posts about my trips to the junkyard to get the cylinder head and fuel pump. So after a week or two, we finally got...

    My 86 DX Build

I recently posted about how I went to the junk yard to get me a used head. I did that, then I had to go back to get a fuel pump, then I had to go back yesterday to get the fuel pump flange. I have everything I needed now, and I did the cleaning job. Now all that needs to be done is vacuum...

    1986 Honda Civic "SI" Updates

True, but I just spent all my money on a head, carb and gasket set for this one. If I put it back together and it doesn't start, and we can't figure out why it wouldn't, then I will save my money and probably buy a FI engine, and just switch everything out and add an ECU.

    1986 Honda Civic "SI" Updates

Nice! Atleast you don't have to worry about all the vacuum lines like I do. I was pissed to hear after getting my car that 86 was the last year before they switched over to FI completely. :x But like I said, I'm glad I got this little car, and I hope it runs after I clean it and give it the...

    1986 Honda Civic "SI" Updates

Yep! The only time I had complaints had to deal with the 27 vacuum lines in and around the engine bay, that's an accurate count because I looked at the vacuum line diagram which had numbers going up to either 26 or 27, but I am pretty sure it is 27. I went back and got the fuel pump...

    1986 Honda Civic "SI" Updates

I tried uploading a pic of my car, but it doesn't want to load for me, I'll get more pictures of my car and engine after I put it back together tomorrow, when it's not freezing cold or pitch black outside.

    1986 Honda Civic "SI" Updates

I recently acquired me a used 86 Civic SI Hatchback. Well bad news: 1) It turns out that it was just a DX Hatchback :(, 2) It still doesn't run, and 3) I forgot to get a fuel pump while I was at the junkyard today. It's a 4 speed manual, I need to correct some linkage because I can jiggle the...

    Timing A 1986 Honda Civic

I need help with where to time my '86 Honda Civic to. Everybody keeps telling me "Go look in the manual," but I've read the manual on this like 6 times. Not like reading my manual will even help since it's Haynes' "All models 1984-'91" for Honda's. So, if anyone know which tick to time the...

My 1986 Honda Civic Si Hatch

I recently bought an '86 Honda Civic Si back in August, and haven't really gotten much progress. I need help with realizing why it isn't receiving compression, and if it's the problem, which mark to re-time my Honda. Also, how would I know if my carb is bad or not?

    Need help!

Alright. I am debating whether or not to part out my '86 Honda Civic. But first, I would like to know whats going on. I get fuel, spark, but no compression, and I'd rather not pull the head if I have to, as I have the carburated model which has 1,000 vacuum lines attached to the carburetor...

Need help with my 86 Honda Civic SI!

I have an '86 Honda Civic, which doesn't run. The engine has the code: EW-1808362, but it's a 1.5L engine. Is this engine an "interference" engine? We can go to turnover the engine (by hand or star wrench), and we could get it to turn a couple times, then it'll lock up (transmission was in...
