EJ6....

I called the previous owner and he said that they installed a new clutch on the original tranny and that twice it wouldnt feel right. So supposedly, the mechanic got an EX housing and put his DX internals. I find that hard to believe since its more work to swap internals then it is to just get a new a tranny.

well dx and ex trannies have different gear ratios. u should be able to tell what u have based on your speed:revs

I once had a buddy who had a carfax account call me at work since he wasn't by a computer and looking at a car, gave me his log in and we checked.

I never used it again but carfax canceled his membership w/no questions asked.

that's pretty messed up. what if i buy a carfax account on one computer, and then want to use it elsewhere? anyone wanna give their TOS a thorough reading?
