the valves looked like they were sealing when i had the head off.

so after i start it, and do another compression test, if its still low, the head will get sent to the shop to be checked more throughly.
my dristibutor should be here soon, only need a couple parts in order to start it.

What about a leakdown test to see if the valves are seating to give you a rough idea. Just pour a pool of solvents into the combustion chamber with the head off and upside down to see if the valves will keep it up there for 5-10 minutes.

Take and drop a table spoon or two of oil in the center two cylinders and post up your new numbers.

those are with a couple squirts of oil in them. they were 60-90 before

going to buy a leak down tester, i have been meaning to get one for a couple years, but havent yet.

i plan on pullin the head, and sendin it to a machine shop, so, i will probably end up upgrading the valve train.

this gives me time to collect the rest of the parts needed to finish.
