Got a bit of cash...

So among some of the things i need, i have a few wants, and sure enough, i got some extra cash over christmas so that i can afford to do one of the two...so i want yalls opinions.

Netbook. so that i can move around a bit to surf and talk and im not sittin at my computer chair all day erday
approximately $300-325


XBOX Elite: i moved back home from college and ive never had a game system of my own, so in order to keep playin with my guys from school, i was gonna get the elite (cuz all my stereo n stuff are black and i like the system better). with the 2 games (forza 3 and MW2) plus the XBL account to play online...im lookin around $500...

Does it have to be an Elite?

GameStop sells xBoxs for 150 with 2 wireless controllers, get the 120GB hard drive and your WAY under the 500 dollar you would spend on a brand new elite.

the only downside i see to the xbox is that i dont need somethin where i get glued to the tv like i get glued to the computer lol when i was down at school with my roomates xbox and MW1 or Madden....i would watch the hours tick by lol. i feel i could at least be semi-productive with the netbook. plus i hate not having a computer when i travel.

i bought a laptop for my mom from best buy for $350... was as cheap or cheaper than most of the net books. get an xbox or a real laptop.

Have you even played an xbox? I love how people say this without even playing xbox or playing it for a very short period and making their decision. More and more people make up their minds by what system they decided to buy instead of the other. It becomes a logical and mental personal theory that one is better then the other, its like, I spent my money on this one, so I don't like or the other isn't good type of deal.

So that being said, both systems have their ups and downs, and neither is better then the other. But ps3 does have blu-ray. But Xbox has the better and more exclusives. IMO

I don't really play console games anymore. I'd get the netbook or a laptop. Your limited to a gaming console, just games, dvds, some web surfing. The netbook or laptop, you could travel and go online, chat, buy s**t, PORN, and you have a keyboard. The netbook or laptop is portable, less hassle than carrying a gaming system everywhere. Its really up to you, but other than those things, I'd rather put money into my car lol.

depends on who you are really
i rather get a xbox over a netbook because i already have a computer and a laptop.(i have an xbox tho..)
xbox would cost a lot more because you would have to buy games and accessories. however, i modded my xbox and it you can download games for free.

netbooks... meh, good to surf the web when you are on the couch watching t.v. or playing xbox. haha

Save more money and get a laptop. Just my 2 cents. I have a netbook that was given to me, but it's not all that great.
