Photography Contest

Theme - Industrial
You will have until 11:59:59 pm EST December 1st, 2005 to submit your best photo.

Rules​

• Your photograph must reflect the given theme. Ambiguous photographs that do not follow the selected theme or are difficult to decipher will not be accepted. If turned in early enough, you will be notified of the dq and given another opportunity to enter.
• The image should be altered in Photoshop very little. What is and is not allowed:
  • Adjusting brightness, levels, and contrast are allowed.
  • Adding a border is allowed. However, the border should not cover up very much of the image. This may be up to my discretion, but I will PM you about a violation upon reciept of the image.
  • No filters are allowed.
  • No airbrushing is allowed.
  • Adding a new figure into the photo that was not in the original scene is prohibited.
  • Adding new light effects should not be used heavily if at all, and will be up to my personal discretion whether it is allowed or not.
  • Cropping is allowed.
  • Combining two or more pictures into one, unless it creates a panaromic scene of the actual area is prohibited.
• After recieval of your photo I may request the untouched original to determine if it will be accepted or not. So please have that ready, or send it to me with the slightly altered photo.
• I request that you use www.imageshack.us and their thumbnail feature.

Please keep your file size as close to 300Kb as possible and at a high res.
Failure to do so will result in a PM stating that your photo doesn't meet the size/resolution requirements.
Use the "Save for Web" feature in Photoshop to help reduce file size.

2 - You can AIM me at TrianglesODoom with a link to your picture.

*note: please do not wait until the last minute to send in your entry.


Voting will start December 2nd and will end 7 days later.
Do Not Vote For Your Own Picture.
You will be disqualified for doing so.

Industrial is a broad subject for a reason.... My definition and guideline is something dealing with large, monotonously styled buildings, alleys, factories....

If you have an idea for a photograph, but am not sure if it will fit into the theme, feel free to PM me with a description of the picture and I will do my best to clarify if it is allowed or not....

industrial eh... well this is iowa we have farms, hills, and wal-marts. but i went and took some pix anyways. damn its cold out. you wouldn;t believe how many people brake when they see the little red eye of my camera focusing. i mean how stupid would the cop have to be to use a red light and how obvious is it that you;re speeding to step on the brake when you see it duh....

when people enter the contest, they should say what kind of camera they have and the mega pixels and s**t, so peopl can distinguish photography skills from just a good camera you know?
