How do I install speaker in the front door panels?

For a 97, I just had to take a flathead screwdriver and pop off the grille. Then take out the two screws holding the speaker on, then unhook the wires. Just hooked those up to the new ones, screw back in, and pop th grilles back on. Took me 5 mins/speaker, much easier than I thought it was going...

    Rear speaker recommendations

DEH-1400...one of the less expensive ones. Now, if I were to get something like this: http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-M4vzBx4HPmT/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=10&g=52300&I=1086925I&o=m&a=1&cc=01&avf=Y What would I need amp-wise (specs)? Possibly to drive both these speakers and a single sub...

    Rear speaker recommendations

I have already replaced the front 6.5" speakers on my 97 LX sedan with Pioneer model TS-A1667. Product info here: http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-mRGbkxsHNOI/ProdView.asp?i=130TSA1667&s=0 It took about 2 minutes to install each one. Just pop off the speaker grille, unscrew, remove...

    Window Tint

Get the back window tinted as well. Just the side four would look weird. As do cars with just the back two and the rear. Why not all of them?

    Turn Signal Relay ??

If you don't want to buy anything, I read somewhere you can solder something onto something and it'll speed it up. Pretty vague response, I know, but search for it cause it's out here somewhere.

    Lowered Civic...too mushy

I've done quite a bit to my car...the usual oil, trans. fluid, plugs, etc...and changed my brake rotors and pads, had to put on a new exhaust pipe because my snapped off...so it's not like I haven't done anything just not my own suspension stuff.

How hard is it to change your shocks? What equipment do you need?

    Wats your thoughts??

Yeah, speed bumps are a huge problem. You never know if you'll hit your exhaust on them. You basically have to come to a complete stop before creeping over it. And hope for no scraping. Driveways and turning into places also sucks. To fast and you hit the ground with your front end, and then...

    Tint

Metallic tint is fine (like silver or green) to match the car but please not the stuff that's black on the bottom and progresses to silver at the top. Looks cheap as hell.

    Tint

That faded mirror tint is all you see on those beat up POS cars in the city. What exactly is this tint-o-meter thing? How does it work? And you know the po have nothing to do if they're out tint-o-metering peoples' cars for fun. I hate that crap. :x

    Clunk during inital acceleration?

Here's the deal - when I'm at a stop light or something and then go to accelerate, I hear a clunk. Right when I step hard on the pedal it'll go down, then a clunk, then I'll accelerate. Somebody said maybe something with the motor mount. Is it? And what's the story on tinkering with your...

    did i overfill my oil?

I've driven with it about where Melt says his is and it's been fine. It was like that for an entire oil change, in fact - so for about 3-4 months it was good. I wouldn't worry about it. Quite a pain to jack it back up just to drain out a few ounces. What a mess that'd be. Let it be.

    Lowered Civic...too mushy

I looked at the FAQ on suspension and have a few questions: How hard is it to tell what shape your shocks are in and if you need replacements? What shocks would be nice and compatible with H&R sport springs?

    did i overfill my oil?

    For a 97, I put in 4. It's about a 1/4" below the high mark. Perfect.

    Transmission fluid

Anyone know a good DIY for changing tranny fluid? I don't think it could be much harder than an oil change. It's for 1997 Civic. Or is it?

    Lowered Civic...too mushy

My 1997 Civic sedan has H&R sport springs that were put on by the previous owner. The ride of the car seems a little mushy and it isn't as firm as I would like. Speed bumps are a royal pain, and when I go over them the car seems just a little too bouncy. The springs don't 'react' quick enough...
