I'm going to have to hold out on voting, as I really can't decide either. There's two cars that are a tie in my head, and I'm going to have to mull it over before deciding.

civic209, it would be great if a 7th gen wins....one that's deserving of winning. I don't know of too many 7th gens that are more deserving than two or three of the cars in just this contest....the only one I can think of is sniperscouts, and he hasn't been on in a while.

7th gens are like the black sheep of civics IMO. I haven't ever seen one done properly to me. 6th and 8/9th gens are my favorite.
Mines a toss up between the hatch and the coupe. Can the owners of those cars possibly post up a link to more of their cars w/o whoring out the thread too much??

Whats not to like? The interior is far superior to that of the 6th gen and the exterior gives a substantial amount of room for a stylish look. Id pick a 7thgen over a 6th gen any day.

To be honest I'm only looking at the parts list to reference back not primary decision.
I love 7th Gen and think Honda did a great job with them styling wise. But that's the thing, not much mods available like other gens. I like yours but here's my thing.
auto -1
engine bay looks good and well kept. +1, but -1 at the same time, nothing "impressive" there. So maybe +.75
interior again nothing "impressive" or that pops out. One thing I feel changes the interior a lot is steering wheel. subtle differences do it for me a lot of times.

Sniperscouts car is by far THE best 7th Gen I have EVER seen. Wish he came around a bit more.

Better pics would've helped. Maybe "hard wiring" the GPS, or making a "cleaner" install would help. Little things like that.

Cosmetically I don't like your face.

Okay in all seriousness, I've made this argument many times.....anyone who can seriously like the 6th gen styling, yet dislike the 7th gen styling clearly has no sense of taste. It's not even an opinion either. The 6th gen has the advantage of MANY aftermarket parts....but that's it. The interior styling is MUCH better than the 6th gen, it doesn't look like an "econo-box" interior, it actually looks pretty damn nice. And the black interiors are true black, as opposed to the 6th gens gray....black is nicer. As for the exterior, there are two major differences between the two. The 7th gen has different tail lights, and it doesn't have the side moldings on the doors. No side molding looks better, and the tail lights are personal preference. Different tail lights are not going to make or break the car for me, especially with a much better interior.

Take a look at the actual BODY LINES of the 6th and 7th gens. They are actually the closest styled Civic's from different generations. I simply don't understand how anybody can dislike them when they are so similar in styling. Yes, the aftermarket support gives a great advantage to the 6th gen....but we're talking about the body lines. The front bumper, headlights, hood, the doors, rear windows, rear bumper.....are all nearly identical.

To support this argument/end future arguments here are 2 fairly similar pictures.... The 6th gen is even a 96-98 and they still look alike.

The only difference is that the 7th gen is sexier, as explained in previous posts.

It comes down to the automatic trans. With civics it's a big turn off for me, especially in a featured car. That is why the last 2 get scrolled right past.

I also don't even look at the mod list until after I look at the pics, unless it is turbo'd. If it is then I scroll up to see if it is a legit kit or a junk bys. Let's face it, there is no mod list on the main page of the site. THAT is what draws you into the featured section, NOT a list of parts. The add ons are just desert.

As far as the 6th and 7th gen debate. I chose 6th and the main thing that does it for me is the head lights. The 7th gen ones look rushed, squished, and weird.

Squished? Again, the headlights are nearly identical. The only major difference is the top outside corners of the 7th gen are more pointed.
