Relocate the battery while your at it, too. Looks funny sitting there by itself...
haha yep im gonna do that soon but ive been kinda busy lately. just finished fixing my brothers car for the SECOND time in one week. and got a 01 escort for 500 bucks that im puttin a new head gasket in and then sellin. btw went and got some "new" parts to start on the ex conversion for my car. once i get a energy suspenion kit all this is going in.

i only paid 170 for all that and also got a ceiling light. the optional one on the ex (i think thats what it is)

well i started painting the sideskirts so hopefully by tomorrow theyll be done

OP, where's the battery tuck? I bet you've been procrastinating....
im sorry :( all the cars at my house except mine have been breaking so ive been playing mechanic for the past few weeks. new struts for brother, and distributor, oil changes, pulling head for head gasket replacement, etc. if i get the head reassembled tomorrow ill start on the battery tuck asap on wed. I promise!

Nice, I painted my sideskirts as well and they came out badass.... only to later spin out and f**k one up (scratch) so I have to sand the entire sideskirt. It's been primed and still sits in my shed. lol, yeah im riding with just one.... for laziness

haha you sound like me. when i was redoin the interior i dyed the carpet (not spray painted like the ricers) so i rode around for a few days with basicallly a race car interior since i didnt have any seats except for the drivers one of course and the rest of the interior i was letting dry cause it had just been painted. gutted interiors are freakin loud btw

:word: I gutted one of my show eclipse's and had to drive with it completely gutted and the sound from the turbo and exhaust kept me from hearing myself talk AT ALL, absolutely no conversation could take place inside that car, its ridiculous

It has potential, but I'm hating your bay. Do not get new rims, get suspension first IMO.

so i got off my lazy ass and finally took some pics and loaded some pics still havent gotten pics of the final product since everytime i think of doin it its pitch black outside

so this is what i started off with. id suggest only getting one piece of aluminum since thats all i ended up needing to mount it on the trunk floor

make the stock tie down flat or just fabricate a piece yourself

edges are pretty sharp if you cut off the stock peice like mine. i just grinded it down

measure and attatch legs. accuracy is critical since if bolt holes dont line up you gotta redrill wich is annoying

yeah...this is how i connected my battery wire to the fuse box and i would suggest soldering and heat shrink tubing. i had to go to work so this is my quick fix

gutted most of the floor to put in new floor harness

started doing the headlight harness tuck

forgot to take a pic of putting the harness in wheel well. my bad

yeah not fun

even less fun. the f**kin heater shot the coolant or whatever at me. damn heater

yeah...the harness is now in the car if you can see it

had to solder the old ebrake sensor wire onto the new harness since the new one was missin one (my fault it wasnt there)

just started the drivers side today. way more complicated since you got the wiper fluid reservoir in the way

you can see part of the ex harness in!

so it started raining but i couldnt stop working so i made a little hut

the hut consisted of a card table and a tarp

when tucking the drivers side id suggest cutting the wires at different lengths to separate different wires. also theres a s**t load of red wires so dont get em mixed up since they only got different stripes on em

and a sample of mah work

tomorrow ill prob have it all complete and maybe if im smart enough to remember to take a pic or two of the final product ill post that. oh and dont use 16 ga wire like i did. way to big.

haha okay yall i got the final pics and i think it turned out pretty good. forgot to take a pic of the battery in the trunk though :(

so i got this new drill, and it f**kin owns my drill bits. just drilling the hole for the harness to go through the drill broke three drill bits without heating up at all. and it was only thirty bucks =)

started drilling and realized there wasnt just a single layer. there were three! id suggest a pilot hole. makes it easier.

second layer done

so when i was cutting the slit i kinda bent the saw blade. just a bit

well...i happened to have an exam yesterday and had to tie my bumper up and drive to school while i was in the middle of doing the tuck. yeah. pretty ghetto

so heres how i put the harness into the car efficiently. drilled a hole big enough for the harness to sit in comfortably and then cut a slit so the wires could fit through

and the front end is back on

done

no harness here

no battery or fuse box

and the wires i was too lazy to tuck

someone help me out. WHAT THE f**k does this rubber thing with a single wire go to? btw car is dx if that helps wiring schematics

finally got this harness out of the way too!

debating on getting rid of this sensor or not. moved the wires to the back today

another view of the dissapearing battery

so thats now done so i gotta work on the ex suspension swap. got the ex sway bar, lca's and knuckles and new(ish)cradle. and energy suspension bushings! thanks to mongus. hes quick at shippin btw.

btw i got gsr calipers and im wantin to paint em. im thinkin between gloss black, red, or silver. only problem is i can only find a paint kit thats red and that spray paint comes in the other colors. what yall think. oh and the rims i got im wantin to paint. any color ideas?
