Tattoos and Piercings Part II

Thinking about getting my first tattoo on my right shoulder blade. Last name with the german flag integrated in the lettering. Trying to get some good drawings before I make a decision though.

Wow, now I want a tattoo.... Hmmm, to the drawing boards? My problem is that I'm so indecisive that 20 years will go by until I agree on one...

yeah, but anyway, I casually brought it up to my friend today and he said that he wished he would have spent a little more time deciding on what tattoos he wanted. He still likes having tats, but he also said he wished he toned it down a bit on his body coverage and didn't get tats on his forearms...

I wouldn't mind getting sleeved on one arm to my albow with meaningful tats in high detail...

Ohh also... Tattoo Noob question.... I remember when my friend got his tattoos they were all nice and dark and black. How do you keep them looking like that??? It looked bad ass and fresh like he just walked out of the tattoo shop. They looks faded on him now and don't look as good as I remember them looking. Is there maintenance or something like that ??? Not sure....

everything fades with time. Keep out of the sun forever and it will stay black.

Yeah, tattoos will always fade with time. But, I've used two different artists for all my ink, and both have offered to do free touch-up work on the tattoos they've done. I've already had one of mine fixed up due to fading.

Edit: but anything with Aloe vera will work just fine

Edit2: the shop i went to has an OD amount of it o_O

i use aquaphor on my tattoos, works great, not as sticky as A&D, and usually heals a little bit faster, for me atleast

i have an appointment tommorow with an artist. we're looking at about 4 more hours on my chest to complete everything. I'm getting a victorian style chest plate, from shoulder blade to shoulder blade. all black work.

That has alcohol in it.

my tattoist reccomended it, works great, i know other people who haev used it with no problems at all.

it has lanolin alcohol in it.
