My father in law has been a body man his whole life, I've been doing my own bodywork on this car and just get him to give me some pointers along the way. He's coming to help tomorrow to finish all the bodywork and hopefully get it primed. Doing the bodywork and primer in my own garage, then bringing it to his shop to paint it in the booth. I will probably let him shoot it lol

Finally have the Jetta sorted I think. Just have to bleed the clutch and it should be good.
Love getting paid, to see that almost every dollar is spoken for...then come home to nearly no food. Time for a second job thanks to summer hour cutback

And they need to hurry and bring that show back. Stopped by their production holding area while at home and didnt seem like much was goin on

... it's a timing belt. That's not true at all.
I don't drink anymore n I get a call from my boy saying he needs me at the bar now. I show up n he's being jumped. Now those 4 dudes are on there way to the hospital

It's not that i cant drive it, but the noise is really annoying and I can't drive this thing over 50 mph without it vibrating violently.I've been driving on a bad wheel bearing for a year....it's OK to drive it.

We're trying to survive the 2nd wave of nasty storms pummeling us. Already had 1 tornado, flooding like crazy. The Mississippi hasn't been this his since 1995 the news was saying. I'm just glad it's not near 1993's stage.

Drop the engine to do a timing belt? Not unless you want to spend a lot of extra time for nothing. Never seen one of the guys drop an Audi engine unless they are putting in a new one.
$2k estimate would put the job (with parts) at 11 plus hours. That seems a bit high to me. I don't think it takes them more than an 8 hour day to finish. Unless it is one of the new guys and it's their first time.
