always a good idea but it doesnt sound as if he is building something that will blow his crank apart. alot more will let go before that happens.but you know this.

ls/v-tec turbo if ya got the change. i love mine and a 1.8 litre is just the propper balance imo. i have the b16 tranny and the gears are stupid short. 1 & 2 are useless and highway travel at 70 is 3850 for rpm's. retarded. oh sorry challenged, gotta be pc ya know

ACL all the way man. if its apart, you would be a fool not replace the rods with something a litte more stout. call it insurance. my motor is built and there are prob only a few places it would go bang, rods are not one of them and its nice to know. just my op.

if ur picky and have a little more coin save yourself the trouble sell the EX and buy a 99-00 Si. you will have a B16a2 for a base, and thats not bad. the EX can be made into a monster, price, idk you could build your ex to take 15 pounds for the end cost of a good B18C swap. or close i think. g.l.

if you have the stock 97 motor than it should be OB2, usually 5 th ge is OB1 but im not sure.

i know ur asking but i say research your engine and buy a haynes manual. this will save you money in the long run. just behind the top left of valve cover is your soleniod. dont worry how it works for now, just locate and inspect the plug and wires to it. if all is well have a friend or someone...

nicoyita1 has explained it once. Face the engine sideways( flywheel to your passenger side engine bay for most hondas) and that is FWD face the flywheel to the back of the car and that is RWD. there are major frame and body differences between FWD and RWD as well.

so tis is a pimp ass build. why the ls rods? just pop for some good ones man. i would hate to tear all that ish apart caue of a stupid ass ls rod. anyway, very nice man.

i was just wondering why he would not choose a 60 trim T3/T4OE. is it the performance he doesnt like or the setup its self.

what info / experience with the T3/T4OE is your opion based on? would a T3/T4OE 50 trim change your mind. just wondering:cool:
